Taking money but not so quick to return it.
I attempted to use what I thought was a one off payment to convert a pdf. It didn't work and having only spent a couple of £, I put it down to experience and went on to use another free service which was simpler and cost free. I now see that the initial payment came out of my account on the 1st June, followed by two further payments on 16th June and 6th July, these payments for £39.99 each. I contacted the customer service team who informed me that I by paying the initial £1.99 I had signed up for a subscription service, though nothing in my inbox or junk mail to confirm this. The payments are also weirdly spaced, by my reckoning the 2nd payment was taken 10 days early, which surely isn't legal. A refund is being refused by the company and I will now have to go via my bank. Im retired and don't use computers, so easy to end up duped by unscrupulous companies making money for nothing.
