Endmyopia

Thank you for existing

Thank you for existing, Endmyopia. I don't have many complaints. You provided us with a way to take control of our own lives with little or no financial risk whatsoever. It's not always easy, but it's because we get to do it with our own effort that it's been very meaningful and emotional for many of us. This is important especially when discovering new things and not being sure whether to trust them or not; if you have the opportunity to do it yourself you can really confirm the results with your own eyes. I haven't been around in the community very long, but the first big step, taking all measures to prevent my myopia from getting worse, is perhaps the biggest and most important step for all of us. The first step is the step where we begin to make all the habit changes which consequently change us as people, even in little ways. And some people may be satisfied with just that first step of preventing more myopia progression. But I got rid of the most recent glasses-induced ciliary spasm and there was a big jump in that first lens reduction. That was motivating for me, and so I couldn't possibly just stop there! Knowing that prevention works 100% for me, there's nothing much for me to lose by going further with the method. And definitely, there are inklings of progress that are not just about preventing further progressions... those centimeter improvements (very tangible and measurable), being able to do active focus more easily (a very tangible skill you can GET BETTER AT), and being able to function in the world normally without the stronger correction that I used to have. I am on my way to my goal of normal vision. I hope Endmyopia could become more accessible to people whose first language is not English. Newbies in the community are discouraged from asking for simplified explanations from more "senior" members. It may be true that some of them are lazy, but some of them simply have something that is not the fault of their own (being from another country). That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars just yet. I feel bad for those who are left out and will continue to have progressive myopia (my conscience shivers at the phrase). Regardless, it is admirable that the community has very much grown internationally, and that those same people who made the most effort to understand the method will also be the ones to spread it in the most positive way. The method and website itself is nothing without the effort of people, and as such it is a very important aspect of the Endmyopia experience. Anyway, the community is there if you need some help from fellow like-minded people!
