Scanner became useless after updates
Scanner became useless after updates - no help from manufacturer - Do not buy ! So I bought a Launch 129X and succesfully used it to check and record all the battery and motor information of our Kona EV. Originally, after scanning the VIN code, the unit did a system check and gave the option to further investigate all systems on the car. The unit indicated that updates were available, so I selected this option. After it installed V52.01 for Hyundai, I connected the unit again. It began the same, but after the VIN check, I now only have the option to view ABS and Airbag systems. ALL the other functionality has disappeared. I wrote to @cnlaunch to ask them to correct this error. 1st, they told me to use the Instant Message option on the device. My device HAS NO instant message option. They asked for the seriel number, which I sent. I got a reply telling me to use the Instant message tool that does not exist. I asked they roll-back the software to the previous version which worked. I got a reply to use the instant message tool !! Recently, more updates were available, so I installed them, as surely after a specific request they would have deleted the 52.01 version and put back the v51.98 that worked. There WAS a new version.....with the identical issue to the current problem. Basically, I had a unit that worked, and cnlaunch removed all the functionality. They have done nothing to resolve this issue in 5 months. I have to STRONGLY recommend that you do not buy this, or any other CNLAUNCH product, as you never know when it is just going to stop working.
