I booked a room at the Chatsworth Hotel in Worthing for my wife and son. The instructions were that payment was to be made on arrival. My wife paid with her debit card. I then found that my account had also been charged! I contacted the hotel and was told that it had been a mistake and a refund would be made to my wife's account in 3 to 5 days. Fortunately our accounts have sufficient funds to cover the error but it should not have happened. I don't know what would have happened if this had happened to someone without sufficient funds. I await the refund and will update if it does not arrive.
