Avoid unless you want to waste money
I had a PV and Growatt SP1000 and 2.6kW installation back in late 2016 by easily 2019 the battery failed with a common 024 BMS failure. Fair play to Growatt they replaced this no questions with a 4.8kW battery as the smaller was obsolete. They stated that the warranty of 5 years would apply on the replacement battery would apply. In mid 2022 (3 years) the battery failed again (024 BMS failure) Growatt point blankly refused to honour the 5 year warranty on this battery stating that the system was out of warranty. I get the the SP unit was out of warranty but the battery wasn’t. I spoke with my feet and had the system replaced with another battery system (Givenergy) who’s UK customer service is far superior than Growatt. The Chinese customer support for Growatt is somewhat questionable and very poor, they refused to put me in contact with any UK representatives, even though I asked several times. Shame on you Growatt. I would not recommend their products to anyone in the UK.
