Slow response & hefty fee for change of date
I chose cheaptickets to buy my flight tickets for a trip in May bcos of its good ratings. However, when l requested online to make a change of date to the next day for our return flight to S'pore on ANA less than an hour after booking it, l was informed that l will have to pay a hefty change fee of US$120 per person (US$240 for both my hubby & l)! We had paid additional fees for the premium service package when l bought the tickets on Sun, 3 Mar 2019 & it clearly states no extra charges for cancellation & change then, why charge! After several calls & an email reply sent to cheaptickets on 4 Mar, l am still waiting for a clarification to waive the change fee and to confirm our tickets from US on a flight the next day! Its been very stressful as we are both in our late 50s & 60s. If not for this incident, l probably would have given a higher rating as l had no issues with the first 2 bookings. It was very unexpected that we had to change the date. I hope cheaptickets can expedite & respond positively soon.
