Deceptive practices
Seeing an ad in the New York Times for Christmas ornaments from Verlinn, I assumed the company had some legitimacy (unlike ads in F.B., for instance). The ornaments were pictured as little animals posed in what they called acorns. I assumed they were resin animals in wood-looking nests. When the ornaments finally arrived, they turned out to be cheap, flat plastic junk, mere cut-outs with photographs of the animals in pictured "acorn" frames. They looked nothing like the 3-D ornaments shown on the website and most definitely were not worth the $12.99 that was charged for each. I've emailed the company demanding a return and full refund, but I don't hold out much hope.
