Misleading Trial, Hard to Cancel, and Poor Quality — Avoid Fotor!
I want to warn others about how Fotor handles subscriptions — it feels like a trap. I downloaded the app through the App Store and started a free trial. It seemed straightforward, but when I wanted to cancel, I realized the subscription wasn’t visible under my iPhone subscriptions. That’s because Fotor redirects you to a separate website, which makes it harder to find and manage your subscription. They didn’t send a confirmation email, and when I tried to unsubscribe, I had to go through a long process of navigating different pages. Their unsubscribe link sent me to a site that didn’t even work properly on my phone — the cancel button was either missing or unclickable. Instead of taking one minute to cancel, I ended up spending over an hour looking for ways to get out of the subscription. I had to email their support and take screenshots as proof, just in case they charge me later. Honestly, this is not how a transparent and respectful company behaves. Also, the app itself was a big disappointment. It sounds impressive in the description, but it’s not better than the basic editing tools already built into the iPhone. 💬 In short: • Misleading setup • Hard to cancel • Poor customer support • Low-quality app Please be careful. This kind of practice erodes trust.
