So far so good
So far so good. We had a Growatt SPH-3600 and 6.5kW battery installed nearly a year ago and they've performed well. We've had no need to use their customer support yet, so they'll probably lose a couple of stars when we do! And why do Chinese companies not use native English speakers to translate their product manuals and software? Yes, Shinephone is a pretty awful app, but at least the connection to the server has improved recently. The need for a password that changes daily when changing any settings is just nonsensical. It does need setting up and checking by your installer, it's tortuous to do without help. I've plugged in a Raspberry Pi running Solar Assist which is a whole lot better for keeping tabs on generation and consumption, with updates every few seconds rather than 5 minutes. Remember how much more the inverters and batteries that get better reviews cost. The performance doesn't seem to be much better, if at all, and the customer service is sometimes pretty ropy too. So all in all I'm pretty happy that I went with Growatt - just hope I still will be when something goes wrong!
