ONGOING exercise of patience
I needed a new Transmission. So I looked at the feedback and decided to roll the dice on Atransmissions. I am not entirely unhappy but I haven't been happy either. I received my order this morning. It has been more than two months since I paid for it. Excuses for COVID etc. OK, I can live with it. I ordered the cooler which did not ship with the transmission. I did not receive a callback today on that as usual. Now as a customer, I would liked to have known a few things beforehand about my order. The first thing is, they have a modern website with chat function but that is STRICTLY for sales. All post-purchase support will be done with 80s technology. If you ask on the chat or by email they will give you a phone number to call. That means old fashioned phones. They are VERY busy. I called maybe 10 times in 2+ months and went from greeting by live humans to the voicemail of someone too busy to take my call... or half the time to a hold music loop waiting for 1 of three ladies I spoke with through the issue of getting my purchase to ship. Hold time between 10 and 25 minutes. Know that if you leave a voicemail, you have already lost the game. There will be no call back. Or at least that was my experience. Once during my odyssey, I got a response by email from someone who sounded like he really wanted to help but sadly, he just started ignoring my emails after he gave me the phone number. So know, they don't really care a lot about you so much after they have your money as they did prepayment. I don't like the way I had to beg for information about my order. After the confirmation invoice by email, the rest was by phone. Why couldn't I even have the shipping numbers by email? Grrr. I get angry with bad customer service. But, hopefully, I won't have to deal with them anymore. Pray for me. The Transmission "looks" good. I yanked the pan and checked the filter, clean inside. Some shavings on the magnet not unreasonable. The outside was clean for a rebuild. I have seen worse. Has some kind of aluminized coating on it but no trapped grime or anything. From what I saw, I think it is going to be what I paid for. if not, the next review will be for the warranty ;) EDIT## finially got through to someone. My Transmission cooler will be shipped separately I am told. I regret choosing the option due to further delay. ##EDIT 06/04/20 in response to the response below. Thank you for making my point. My call netted me a "voicemail is full" message. How much of my time should be spent driving your customer service to complete my order? Wouldn't it be nice If I could just send an email referencing the order number and someone could reference the order at their liesure and send the oil cooler or refund it? Easy for you, easy for us. Try this... RE: Order #8970 ##EDIT 06/19/20 I keep calling Atransmissions. I get a switchboard to transfers me to Jen's voicemail. I get no call backs (as usual). Am trying email again and this. ##EDIT 06/22/20 After an email to Jeff Madison on the 19th, I recieved the cooler today the 22nd. Now, at last I can begin the work of actually swapping the transmission. Thank you Jeff.
