I did not understand the impact this would have on my credit.
I do not recall understanding that my accounts to be settled would have to be delinquent before the negotiation process would begin. My credit score dropped over 200 points and no one will talk to me about any kind of credit or payment plan due to the delinquent accounts on my credit report.
