82mm Variable ND Filter ND8-ND128 (3-7 Stop) HD Hydrophobic VND Filter MRC 28-Layer Nano X Series
I bought the 82mm variable ND filter ND8-ND128 (3-7 Stop) HD hydrophobic VND filter MRC 28-Layer Nano X Series. I was happy with that order as not only it was delivered on time as advertised, the variable ND filter is easy to work with. I simply rotate the filter to allow maximum light through and focus, then rotate it to the desired amount of stopping down. I'm pleased to note there is no observable degradation in the quality after testing it on a range of photo opportunities like waterfalls and lake etc with exposure up to 60 seconds. While it works a charm on my 24-70 f2.8 lens with a 82mm filter thread, the result is a bit let down by the adaptor ring (82->77mm) on the 24-105 f4 lens. I may have to try a thinner adaptor ring to further test it. Apart from that, I'm happy with that purchase and would recommend it.
