Atransmissions

I wouldn't recommend doing business with this company.

I purchased a 4l60E from Atransmissions in mid October 2019. They immediately confirmed my order, charged my credit card and sent an e-mail saying my transmission would ship in 7-10 days. After the 12th day I reached out to get a status update and was told it was in testing and would ship by the end of the week. The transmission didn't actually ship until the end of the following week. I installed the transmission the following weekend and drove the truck about 50 miles before it started slipping. I called and spoke to Kevin who was very apologetic and recommended I try a few toubleshooting techniques over the phone. At the end of the call he recommended changing one of the solenoid valves and sent me the parts. I'm a small business owner and needed the truck back on the road ASAP so I reluctantly agreed thinking this might be the fastest fix. I received the parts about a week later and proceeded to install them. As soon as I dropped the pan and saw the burnt fluid and sheen from metal shavings, I knew this wasn't going to fix anything. Since I was in a bind, I forged ahead and replaced the components and added another $70 of ATF. Still no good. Called Kevin and he offered to send another trans or refund I money. I opted for the refund since I couldn't waste anymore time, need the truck. I talked to Jennifer in accounting and she promised I would see my money in 2 days. I called every 2 days from January until early March and talked to everyone including the janitor. In March I finally talked to the plant manager, I believe his name was Greg and after another week, I received $700 of my $1100 back. When I called they told me there was a restocking charge. I explained the situation to them again and they told me they would look into it. I called back a couple days later and they send the balance of the refund was approved. I haven't received anything back yet and have tried calling several times. There's no answer at the main number and the customer service number just goes to a mailbox that is full. Being a small business owner I understand things happens and I've given them plenty of chances to make it right. All this started pre-COVID so there's no excuse. It sucks when you think you're helping another hard working American small business out and they burn you.
