Actually, I am very dissatisfied with ACASIS.. On April 4, 2026 I bought 2 Acasis 40Gbps 4-Bay Hybrid HDD NVMe Enclosure from ACASIS UK GBR for $ 338.31. After a few days the enclosures arrived nicely packed and look solid. However, after installing two WD RED harddisk en 2 NVMe SSD's in those enclosures my happiness sank to below zero. I connected one of the enclosures to my Apple Mac Studio M4 and started transferring data to the HDD's and SSDs in the enclose. The speed was not even half the speed as advertised an did not get higher than 1 - 1.5GB/s. After a while there where serious disconnects. Touching the enclosure was almost impossible. The enclosure became way too hot, probably far above 70 degrees Celsius. Which is a dangerous temperature for SSDs as well HDDs. When contacting ACASIS support the asked me to return the units back to China which is strange as I ordered the units from ACASIS UG GBR. The costs for shipping the enclosures from NL back to China by DHL is € 95 (cheapest) which is over $ 100. And I was urged to declare a customs value of $ 39,80 ?!?! This is absolutely not acceptable. When contacting ACASIS support again they mailed me again telling they do not accept returns. And offered me $ 50 compensation. I paid over $ 335!!! When I mailed them again, asking if the compensation of $ 50 was per unit but never received an answer on that. So I'm now working with my creditcard company and ask for full refund, ACSIS probably is not awareof the fact that in the European Union consumers are protected against these kind of bad practices by law. Even if the seller is from outside the European Union they have to comply to that law.
