⚠️ This review is for UK customers – please read before ordering from Sierra Darien. I would strongly advise anyone in the UK to think twice before ordering from Sierra Darien. I ordered two dresses for £292.60, and I was extremely disappointed when they arrived. The quality was nothing like the photos advertised on the website. The dresses looked completely different in person, the craftsmanship was poor, and the fabric felt very cheap. In my opinion, the quality was worse than SHEIN, which I never expected considering the price I paid. Another thing that surprised me was discovering that although the company is based in the USA and also has a warehouse in Romania, my order was actually shipped from China. This was not made clear when I placed my order. I contacted customer service the day after receiving my order to request a return and a refund within their 14-day return period. Instead of simply providing return instructions, I was repeatedly offered partial refunds and store credit, despite clearly stating from the beginning that I wanted a refund to my original payment method. It took one full week and four emails before I finally received the return instructions. As a UK customer, I had to return the dresses to their warehouse in Chicago, USA. The parcel had to be sent as DDP (Delivery Duties Paid), and the return shipping alone cost me £35.15. According to their return policy, they also deducted £16.99 from my refund for restocking and shipping fees. In total, this return cost me £52.14 out of my own pocket. After Royal Mail confirmed that my parcel had been delivered, I still received no update from Sierra Darien. I had to email them myself to ask what was happening with my return. Only then did they reply, explaining that my return had not been properly scanned on arrival, but that they had now located it, prioritised it for inspection, and would process my refund within 24 hours. Thankfully, they kept their word, and I received my refund of £275.61 within 24 hours of that email. While I am grateful that I eventually received my refund, the overall experience was stressful, expensive, and unnecessarily time-consuming. Between the poor quality of the dresses, the lengthy return process, the cost of returning the items from the UK, and having to chase the company for updates after they had already received my parcel, this has been the worst online shopping experience I have had. If you’re a UK customer, please be aware that returning items can be expensive and the process may take much longer than you expect. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Sierra Darien again.
