AVOID ANY SERVICE WHICH USES RAYPD LIKE VIBER PAY
Beware of the services which are using Raypd as their payment and financial proccessor. There is a scam hazard! Rapyd is the financial service provider behind Viber Pay and they encourage users to add money to their account in order to transfer money or send money to friends. After verification by ID card, the top-up also works, but the account is then blocked and support no longer contacts you. Viber/Rapyd keeps the money and does not contact you any more. Viber keeps saying that RAPYD is responsible for the finanical services behind and they cannot do anything and someone from Raypd has to have a look into this. Well 30 days and counting... Also contacted Rapyd by mail directly: No answer. The website for filing a claim inside their T&C for Rapyd Pay even does not exist (404 error...). The only solution is to report the incident to the credit card company and get the money back that way. AVOID THE VIBER PAY FUNCTION AND ALL SERVICES RELATED TO RAPYD AT ALL COSTS. Nothing like this happens with any other provider, be it Joom, Verse or Vivid. High risk of scam, I also reported the incident to Apple and the EU Online Dispute Resolution.
