Extremely expensive-too many add on charges
I received many calls from phone agents doing the solicitation and setting up contractors. Then a sales person comes and quotes very expensive prices, well above the cost of materials and reasonable labor costs. It was explained to me that you pay for the call out services, then the salesperson on site, plus a series of add on fees, then these costs are all added to the job to make it unreasonably expensive. The costs quoted were stupid expensive for a job that would take 2 guys one day to complete the work. I prefer to have the contractor who's doing the work provide a realistic quote. I will do this going forward and WILL NOT use Angi. I received a call from Ango today to followup about my concerns and how they may help. I politely explained what went wrong and at their request was beginning to suggest what would work....... but they hung up..... Wow!
