I have had psoriasis on half of my scalp for 37 years and cannot use cortosteriods because of thinning of the skin. I don't want to use a biologic. Red light laser for over two years did clear up my psoriasis, but it returned in 2 months after stopping the laser treatment. After 3 weeks of use, the need to itch has reduced by about 90% and the flaking by 95%. The redness is gone and now my scalp is a very pale pink. It is soothing and my scalp doesn't feel dry and burning anymore. Twice a day is sufficient for me and I'm wondering if anyone has been able to gradually wean themselves off the oil treatment. The only negative thing about the oil is that it makes your hair a bit oily.
