Purchasing tickets on Rail Ninja vs VY.
Purchased tickets on Rail Ninja on March 29 and booked 4 reserved first class seats. We booked on RN because we were able to book 90 days out vs VY has 60 day reservations. Rail Ninja come back on May 3 saying the tickets had to be rebooked to a different train. We picked the other time offered by RN only to find out there aren't any reserved seats. Checking on VY, they had the previous train offered with reserved seats at a cheaper price. We contacted Rail Ninja for help and explained we needed reserved seats due to health issues. We were told we would just take whatever seats were available for our party of 4. They did nothing to help our situation but said there was a fee $175 for cancelling. We cancelled, rebooked on VY for the original trip which has assigned seats and it was all cheaper than Rail Ninja. We ended up losing $175 but we finally got the right trip with seats. I have several chats with RailNinja and we didn't get any results. Our fault for not reading their fine print.
