A bank that breaks trust and breaches terms
Like some of the reviewers here, I wish I can give '0'. As a Premier client, I felt insulted and mocked by this institution. I think they must have a very messy shared service centre and incompetent RMs to handle premier accounts. When I report a fraud, and they completely overlooked that and released payment to the merchant 2 days later, this itself they apologised and asked me to pay up else I lose my good credit standing. Is this threat or harassment or both? The case is still pending investigation and their T&C clearly states any unauthorised transaction is not subject to payment pending investigation. So they breach their own T&C. My disputes were repeatedly rejected on the basis of an OTP approval, and they completely ignored the police report that reported the scam incident, the missing SMS that never reached me - a sloppy investigation of incompetent people and processes. This is an institution of 100% apathy and zero empathy. I see so many bad reviews of them. Be like me and go to BNM because it is time they cannot stand behind their arrogance and stonewall customers. Consumers have rights to proper investigation, questions answered in a courteous and meaningful manner. And not be told by the bank they have an 'airtight' resolution to reject my case when my questions were left unaddressed. HSBC takes OTP approval as their only source of reference. They practically ignore the fraud detection, the fraud alert and the customer's call to block and report. The 'emergency brake' on their vehicle is a dummy switch. If an OTP is mistakenly approved, a fraud is detected, the principal card holder reports the fraud to stop and the bank still posts and releases the funds 2 days later and then turns around and tells the customer OTP approval is the only reference point in the investigation, then why do fraud detection system exist? Everyone, we can longer trust this kind of a financial institution which no longer operates to protect the customer or our money.
