Risky for the buyer
You might able to find good products on Alibaba but buying is quite risky. Buyers are only protected for 30 days (sometimes 60) and if you use a freight forwarder, you won't even have received the products before buyer protection has already expired. And even if it hasn't, Alibaba almost always sides with the seller to protect Chinese export businesses. In many cases it's completely up to the seller to provide any after-sale service, warranty or refunds. Even if there is a warranty, sellers are not obligated to honor it because the short buyer protection has most likely already expired.
