Very unreliable for trains in Vietnam
Very unreliable for trains in Vietnam. I just travelled from Hoi An to Ninh Binh and bought two tickets on a first class four berth coach that was priced exactly the same as the rest of first class 4-berth coaches (which makes sense). When I got into the train I was appalled to see that our coach was a MUCH MUCH older coach, likely from the early 80's, with not even an electric socket to charge the phone or anything. The AC stopped working after two hours on a 15 hours trip. And to my surprise, when I walked to other first class coaches they were much newer with USB sockets, AC, better WC... Even a machine for drinking cold water. Those berths cost the same and it was never advertised on Baolau site that there would be such differences or I would have OBVIOUSLY chosen any other coach.
