Refuses to refund unusable product
I purchased a CashToCode eVoucher and have been unable to use it because CashToCode no longer appears as a payment option on any merchant I have been able to find. I contacted the vendor and explained this repeatedly. Instead of addressing the actual issue, they kept sending generic troubleshooting instructions such as clearing my browser cache, checking the code for typos, and trying another browser. The problem is not the code. There is nowhere to enter it. I have checked multiple merchants that previously accepted CashToCode, and the payment option has disappeared. MiFinity has also removed CashToCode. I repeatedly asked the vendor to provide the name of ONE currently functioning merchant where my voucher can actually be redeemed. They have not done so. Instead, their response has essentially been that because the voucher code was successfully delivered to me, they consider the product delivered and will not refund it. They have directed me to CashToCode support and generic help pages rather than demonstrating that the voucher they sold me is actually usable. The voucher has never been redeemed. I am not asking for a refund because I changed my mind. I am asking for a refund because I purchased a payment voucher that I currently have no way to use, and the retailer cannot identify a single place where it can be redeemed. I have also repeatedly requested that the matter be escalated to a supervisor and have continued to receive the same scripted responses. At this point, I am filing complaints with the appropriate consumer protection authorities and considering a chargeback. Ticket ID: 5856964 Buyer beware if you are considering purchasing a CashToCode voucher from this company. If the payment network disappears, they may still take the position that simply displaying the code means their obligation has been fulfilled.
