Warranty evasion

In the fall of 2023, I purchased four outdoor cameras online for our property. Delivery and installation were fine. However, it didn’t take long before the problems started. First, the night vision mode stopped working on one camera, then on a second. Shortly after, recording functions failed, followed by the inability to charge via the power outlet (solar charging was the only option left). Within six months, the issues became more frequent, even after regular restarts and software updates. From a reputable company, you’d expect a reasonable replacement offer in response to such failures. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. When I filed a complaint in November 2024 (still within the warranty period under EU regulations), I was met with weeks of back-and-forth emails filled with repetitive questions and excuses—despite having provided detailed documentation of the issues, complete with photos and videos. Finally, on December 16, 2024, I received the "surprising" conclusion that their one-year warranty had already expired. Since the seller is located outside the EU, pursuing legal action would likely be futile. This entire experience left me with the impression of a backyard operation selling overpriced, third-rate electronic junk. Their "customer service" team seems to be tasked with stonewalling and delaying claims with pointless follow-up questions until customers simply give up. In the short term, this business model seems to work for them—it certainly did in my case. My advice: spend a little more upfront and buy from a reputable company with a strong track record. It’ll save you time, money, and frustration in the long run.
