Be Careful
Be Careful – Automatic Renewal and a Very Difficult Cancellation Process I subscribed to EWA about a year ago, but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to use the app and eventually stopped using it altogether. I completely forgot about the subscription. On 10 October 2026, I was charged £52.99 automatically for another 12 months of EWA Premium, even though I had not been using the app. I immediately wanted to cancel the subscription and request a refund, but this turned out to be much more difficult than expected. I checked my iPhone subscription settings, but EWA was not listed there. I then visited the EWA website, as instructed by customer support, but I still couldn’t find the subscription management or cancellation option. I contacted customer support several times, explaining the problem and asking for a direct link or clear, step-by-step instructions. However, I kept being directed back to the website without receiving the specific guidance I needed. While searching online for help, I also came across complaints from other customers who were struggling to cancel their subscriptions. Eventually, Paddle confirmed that my subscription had been cancelled, but I was told that I would still have access to Premium until 10 October 2027. My request for a refund of £52.99 was not approved. I understand that subscriptions may renew automatically, but I believe the cancellation process should be clear and straightforward. Customers should not have to spend so much time searching for the cancellation option or repeatedly contacting support to get help. My advice is to be very careful before subscribing. Read the automatic renewal and refund terms carefully, keep track of your subscription, and make sure you know how to cancel it before you are charged again. I am sharing my experience so that other people can make an informed decision before signing up.
