Car auction - NO, ClassicCars - YES
I, originally, tried to sell my car at Scottsdale, Russo and Steel, who damaged the car and it had to be repaired for a couple of thousands. The car was bid to $242K. Below the reserve, I tried to sell it for a couple of months while stored on the mainland. This failed and I shipped the car back to Hawaii The total cost including attending the auction was close to $10K. I decided to list it with ClassicCars. Over a period of one year, I got some 90 responses from all over the world. and finally sold for $317K. So, I based on my experience, I am convinced that for an individual living far from the site and not in a hurry to sell his classic car, an auction makes NO cense. It is by far better and easier for this individual to list it with ClassicCars, a company that always treated me very nice and professionally.
