Libel and Illegal Banking Violations
Walmart Superstore #5743 (4500 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh NC 27603) committed a severe double-processing error on Check #2484, manually running a paper check in the correct amount after already clearing it electronically in an inaccurate amount without first clearing the incorrect transaction (unauthorized duplicate transaction in violation of Federal EFTA/ Regulation E). When my bank correctly reversed the unauthorized original electronic charge while clearing the later correct manual one, Walmart's automated systems negligently flagged the inaccurate electronic charge as an "unpaid debt." This inaccurate reporting constitutes an actionable data furnishing violation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), triggering a groundless collection action via TRS Recovery Services and blocking my check-writing access nationwide. This unlawful payment restriction wrongfully blocked my preferred method of payment for over a month and caused immense public humiliation when my check was rejected at a completely unrelated retailer. Although TRS (File #661683) eventually formally admitted in writing to a direct "merchant error," Walmart Corporate Executive Escalations (File #260624-007030) flatly refused to cover my physical out-of-pocket tracking costs, offering only a pitiful $75 store gift card that simply routes money back into their own pockets. Because state small claims court rules do not allow self-represented citizens to recover compensation for their personal time, Walmart successfully used local legal loopholes to escape accountability for the 10+ hours of exhausting labor I spent researching appropriate avenues to pursue for resolution, auditing bank records, redacting personal documents, mailing a certified package, reaching out to the Walmart Escalation Team, tracking and responding to emails, and filing and tracking both Federal CFPB (File #260606-33770782) and State Attorney General (File #2026-178499) complaints to clear my libeled and defamed name. Walmart used an industry-wide data violation to disrupt my life, then relied on corporate loopholes to avoid making it right.
