Stick vacuum a pleasure to use
When my expensive vacuum failed during the holidays and I learned the replacement part was on backorder, I rushed out to buy an inexpensive stick vacuum for the interim. Woodies had a special on a Black+Decker Powerseries+ so I bought it. I LOVE IT! It's my favourite vacuum ever. Lightweight and easily maneuverable, it offers two speeds and shifts between them automatically sensing when you are on carpet or floor. It feels like it is self-propelled so it's easy to push. It also has a light that shines on the floor so you can see the dirt ahead of you. And the battery is removable to charge so you don't have to hang the entire machine on the wall charger. I hope it lasts a lifetime.
