I’m 80 and for those of us who are aging beyond retirement, managing brain health with supplements is becoming more increasingly important. Recent research indicates that NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) provides multiple aging benefits primarily by improving mitochondrial metabolism and preventing age induced changes in gene expressions. In short, it helps your brain stay younger longer. I discovered Forbes Health promotions for top rated providers of NMN and chose partiQular. I found the product I wanted, one bottle of NMN. I chose to buy one bottle and proceeded to check out. I clicked the “Pay Now” link. At that point the website AI apparently took over as soon as I entered my personal information and credit card. It suggested several promotional options, which gave substantial discounts for buying multiple bottles and/or other supplements. The option to proceed on that page of advertising was “Pay Now”, which was what I intended to do. What I didn’t realize was that link would not proceed to check out for my intended purchase. The link was an option to “Pay Now” for the advertised product, which I did not want. After ignorantly pressing “Pay Now” twice more, in order to complete my order, I actually purchased two more products. Yeah, I’m 80. Then I get my bill in email. Instead of $53.94, it’s several hundred dollars. I spend several hours trying to sort this out on line with AI agents (?) claiming to be Mary, among others names. They seem human and very helpful and polite. Wrong. I’m assured things will be taken care of. AI then decides to change my billing several times providing me more bottles and a subscription for more. That occurs over several hours ending around 3AM. Finally, this morning, I reach a human, Kimberley. She reads all the emails and listens carefully to my account that includes documentation from American Express. She understands and corrects everything In a matter of minutes. Brilliant!!!! I believe Forbes Health, and I believe that partiQular is trying to provide solutions for aging health. Their internet service is something else entirely. Beware. If you’re my age, ask someone, preferably human, to help you navigate their webpage. And many thanks to Kimberley, whom I believe is a real trustworthy part of partiQular.
