Super easy to follow. Loving it!
Short version: Early days; very happy so far! Long version: Jacques is the real deal. Full disclosure, I have only just started the course and cannot yet 'play piano'! But the lessons I have been through are clear and easy to follow; the interface of the program is smooth and simple to use. Like, ridiculously simple. Not in a way that makes you feel dumb, but in a way that if you haven’t played the piano (and maybe you’re not native to the computer either!) that you will easily find your way around and stay on the right path. The lessons are literally set out in a path! It was clear from the marketing that Jacques is good with that side of his business. I view this kind of thing with a healthy dose of cynicism, but a very open mind. With some (many!) companies it is because marketing/getting people to sign up is where the focus is – that’s their endgame. With other companies it’s because they’re just absolute professionals who strive to make sure that every aspect of their business is polished and constantly looking at ways to improve. - Jacques and Piano in 21 Days is the professional described above. This is version 6.0. Now I don’t know how much has changed over time, but you’ve also got access to the older versions of the program if you want this. This is a guy (or a team – I’ll get to that!) who is looking to evolve and improve his offering – and most importantly – the results of his customers. The Team – I especially liked the added touch of a personalized video sent to me by Annie. Not just some automated generic video, but someone has taken the time to address me personally and send it. Sure it only takes a minute, but it’s a minute that is not given to the buyer by so many companies after you've forked out a wad of cash and they’ve made their sale. All the basics were explained, a few tips, where to go for help if ever needed etc. A great touch. And then there’s Jacques. Yes, occasionally I’m ‘that guy’ who annoyingly just has to ask questions that find their way to the top. Jacques was lightning fast to respond, first by email, then a video of his own to me. He might have a team to help him, but he is also hands-on enough to get involved and take control when needed. I’m often (and unapologetically) quick to criticize companies for failing to meet expectations they’ve created by their marketing. But on the flip-side I also think it’s important to take the time to acknowledge and praise those that do meet (or exceed) them. And that is what this review is. Not sure about whether to give this a go for yourself? Try the free lessons, you can find them on google easily enough. (I didn’t try them, I just took the gamble.) Still not sure? When I bought he was offering a 30 day money back guarantee and I’m sure still would be. Not bad for a 21 day program! (Not that you have to do the course in 21 days – it really is an at-your-pace kinda thing and that’s exactly what I’m actually after) You can bet I’ll update or change this review down the track if the rest of the course sucks! But I honestly couldn’t be happier so far and at the very least I’ve seen enough to know that realistically I won’t be asking for my money back :)
