B+D WORKMATE Assembly hassle
The workmate is an excellent piece of equipment. I have 3. Unfortunately the workmate had to be assembled. The parts are not well labelled/handed. ie they might fit together in several different ways. The worst part is the split cylinders that secure the winding handles. Terrible to get the location correct. 1. I would suggest that BD make the parts better labelled. e.g black plastic part 1 locates at hole 1. 2. Why not just charge an extra £5 and deliver the workmate assembled. The manufacturing saving is nice for B+D but a hassle for buyers. The item did cost £90. There must be some room/potential for making a fully finished item? There could be two options A= £95 fully assembled. B=£90 The enthusiast's DIY version.
