Useless support
Bought a second ender 3 with a 4.2.2 mainboard, upgraded firmware because it was restarting during pre heating, turns out they are using a different microprocessor but THE SAME BOARD NUMBER, bricked the printer and the correct firmware is not available anywhere. Contacted support and they have not responded. Edit: OK, After compiling my own firmware and resolving the issue I let tech support know that the firmware on their site will brick boards with the GD32F303RET6 chip that they are now using, I told them I had resolved the issue and how and they directed me to the very same firmware that bricked my printer. As a sanity check I redownloaded the firmware they directed me to and lo and behold, it bricked my printer again, reinstalled my compiled firmware and it's working fine, I told them all they need to do is upload the factory firmware that they install on the boards with the GD32F303RET6 and they said I should go and talk directly talk to their tech team to resolve my issue, the issue I specifically told them how to resolve. you can't make this stuff up.
