PICKUP (scheduled 8–9 AM): •One truck did not arrive until 11 AM, two hours after the scheduled window closed. •Upon arrival, the crew did not have the necessary packing/moving materials and had to leave to purchase them, delaying the load further. •The second truck did not arrive until 6 PM, roughly nine hours after the scheduled window. •The truck that did arrive at 11 AM still had another customer’s items on board (including a dishwasher), which meant we could not use the full truck space we had paid for. •Despite this, and despite there being visible room left on the truck, several of our items, including our refrigerator and all rugs, were left behind entirely. DROP-OFF (scheduled 8 AM): •We were told the crew would still make the 8 AM drop-off window, so we started our 8 hour drive with our four children and two dogs to be there on time. •At 8 AM, when we texted the crew, they had not yet left and were still asleep. •The truck did not arrive until 8 PM — twelve hours after the scheduled time. •My husband and I ended up doing much of the unloading ourselves, from 8 PM until 2 AM. •Furniture that we paid to have reassembled was left unassembled. At 2 AM, we had to build our children’s beds ourselves so we could put them to bed. •Multiple items were damaged during the move, including expensive furniture, art, and family heirlooms. Throughout the day, communication from Bellhop and the crew was minimal to nonexistent.
