Agency helped Landlord scam me out of ฿21,000
2nd Response to FazWaz: FazWaz claims they did not control the funds, but their own representative explicitly promised me a full refund in writing via LINE chat after facilitating this transaction. The agent then ghosted me. I have the signed lease, keys, bank transfer slips, and the written refund agreement. I am not making 'unsupported allegations' I brought all of this evidence, the line chats, and conversations I had with their agents to their brokerage Director in person at their office. They did not care. They’re only making the statements now because I’ve made a trust pilot review. I will eventually be taking this documented evidence of the electronic admission from the representative promising me a refund from the Landlord or their account personally bank account and also the proof of the contractual breach directly to the Lumpini Police Station and the Pathum Wan District Court once my manager gives me time off. Also sidenote to whoever is reading this from the FazWaz team, your agent tried to manipulate me into sending the landlord ฿42,000 the night before I was scheduled to go inspect the apartment before my move-in that afternoon. The key here is that your agent, saw the same things I saw the day I went and they saw it before I did and still try to persuade me and manipulate me into sending this Landlord an extra ฿42,000. And then his manager tried to do the same, and even told me your company would try and clean the apartment ignoring the fact that there was structural damage that made the unit unsafe to live in. If that’s not scam behavior, I do not know what is… ———- Response to FazWaz: Your team did not do “everything” within your power.' Your agents actively instructed me not to go to the police during my critical 24-hour window, claiming an MOU would protect me. You then facilitated a contract for an unsafe, unlivable unit, and the moment the landlord broke your MOU and extorted me, your agent blocked me and your team went non-responsive. You are not just a passive intermediary; your agents actively guided me into a financial trap, failed to vet the property safety, and abandoned a teacher out of ฿21,000. I am moving forward with the Thai Tourist Police, the OCPB, and a fraud report against both the landlord and FazWaz for the actions of your representatives. ——— Agency forced me to sign an MOU, the landlord provided an unsafe unit, locked me out, and kept my money. Agency did nothing to enforce the MOU or Lease. Told me my money was nonrefundable, even though the apartment was unsafe to move in, and the landlord was trying to extort me to pay for pre-existing repairs. Even though the landlord did not follow the MOU, or the lease agreement, What’s worse is that I failed myself by trusting this company. When the landlord originally went back on our agreement within 24 hours, I asked for my money back and he refused to give it back to me and instead of trying to make sure I was protected and could get my money back the agency instructed me to give the landlord time to calm down because he was emotional. But what they did instead was basically lock me out of my 24 window when I could’ve gotten my money back by going to the police station. Instead, they convinced me to sign an MOU to protect myself and said that they would make sure that the landlord follows the agreements, but they didn’t, and literally they’ve left me in the wind. My agent has blocked me, the agency is now nonresponsive.I literally have a lease and keys and the landlord has my money for June‘s rent. The only thing I did not give him wasthe two month deposit because the unit itself was unsafe to move in, and I wanted him to complete the repairs before I move in. However, the landlord, instead of following the lease or the MOU tried to force me to pay for everything and then when I said, I wouldn’t , locked me out of the apartment while still keeping my money for first months rent. The agency basically told me I just have bad luck and that there’s nothing I can do and there’s nothing they can do. I’m completely in this position because of their agents, I’ve never spoken to this landlord or owner myself. They were always the one speaking on my behalf and now I’m in a position where I’m screwed out of ฿21,000 which for them is not a big deal but for me, a teacher is huge. That’s food, shelter and medicine gone in a scam that they facilitated through their website and their agents. What would’ve been nice if they had just returned my money, but I know they don’t want to do that so I’m sure I’m not the first one to be screwed by this agency. I’m gonna try my best to save up money so I can sue them for not just a ฿21,000 but also for the stress in the damages that they’ve caused in my life the last month and a half.
