Short Shelf-Life of Adhesive

I purchased their labels 14UP 4'x1 1/3" for laser and inkjet printers (100 count-1400 total) a couple of years ago through either Amazon or Walmart.com. I used them for Christmas cards each year and for various invitations for my children and grandchildren. I never had a problem with them until this past weekend. I printed out 24 labels and affixed them to the envelopes. The following morning, I was going to the post office to mail them, and I noticed that all the labels were pulling away from the envelope. A couple of labels fell completely off. I had to purchase some type of glue to secure the labels to the invitations. I probably have 40-50 sheets left that I am afraid to use. I wrote to the company and they responded quickly, but they gave me the runaround with wanting a video of the peeling labels and a copy of the original receipt. I did send them a picture of the box that they came in with their printed shipping label, but I explained that I had already glued the labels with rubber cement. They initially claimed they would investigate, but minutes later said that without an order number, they could not do anything. Clearly, their labels have a limited shelf-life and such should be clearly stated at the point of sale so that large quantities are not purchased that cannot be used within the shelf-life period. I will go back to buying Avery labels and urge people to buy only enough labels that can be used within a short time. Postscript: I located an order number and sent photos of such. Now the company says they can only assist with products bought directly from them and not through another “platform “. What a disreputable company! It doesn’t stand by its products, regardless of from what store they were purchased.
