Slow but worthwhile
I ordered the Newcastle United 1997 home shirt from Footy Classics and I was pleasantly surprised. Reading through earlier reviews I was a little skeptical. I placed my order online and within 2 minutes I received a confirmation email. After 4 days, I received a further email to confirm that the shirt had been shipped with Royal Mail, alongside a tracking number. At the time, I was unaware that the item would be coming from Asia, and so was a little frustrated when the tracking number was not registered with Royal Mail. It was at this point I started to think I'd been scammed. Rather than panic, I decided to give the item another week or so to arrive (the website states around 2 weeks for delivery). 14 days exactly after the order was placed, I received the shirt - at no point did the tracking number work with Royal Mail so I wouldn't advise relying on this. As for quality and size, it far exceeded my expectations. I had owned this shirt in the 90's and as far as I could tell, it was a perfect replica. Even down to the old Premier League logo on the shirt numbers. I'm not sure what has happened with some of the other customers orders going missing or not arriving within the proposed timescales, but my experience was a fairly positive one. I will most likely use this company again, should they decide to produce even more of the old replica shirts. P.S. If Footy Classics are reading this, please look in to recreating the old NUFC 1997-98 Goalkeeper kit!
