Delays, added charges, late scheduling
I have been plagued with extra charges and severe delays. The first container was late but no extra added after-the-fact charges. Then the second container shipment was 21 days late and they added $300 for the Panama Canal wait time, then after the container was delivered, they added $500 more to the bill for delivery because it took longer than 1 hour to unload a 40' container. The industry standard is 4.5 hours to unload a 40' floor-loaded container. Seabay charges $125/hour after 1 hour. I already paid $1700 PLUS for delivery on that order. If you ship more than a pallet or LCL you may be surprised with the outcome! I will go with CH Robinson next time. Booked on Jan 6 and it is 28 Feb and still not delivered! When they don't want to answer they will ghost you!!!!!!!!! Yes, they say it is not their fault, but they do the scheduling and hiring of subcontractors. Make sure to ask them if the shipment is going to other ports (delays) or is direct to the USA. All of my shipments went to Korea and delayed arrival significantly.
