Jetpac Travel eSIM

Jetpac eSIM and Travel Lounge Disappoint (Later Resolved in full by Jetpac)

Upgraded Review … Since the review below Jetpac has impressed us with outstanding customer service. Not only refunding our eSIM money in full, but organised x2 complimentary Lounge Dragon-Passes. The dealings have showed us that this company cares about their customer experiences, and on that basis I will give them another go later in the year on a trip to UK and Europe. We therefore upgrade our review of Jetpac to 4 stars based on their professional and considerate dealing when approaching our original issues. Original Review … Purchased a 15GB Jetpac eSIM for a 25 day trip to Japan which we completed a week ago. Further to this we purchased x2 Jetpac Dragon Pass (Lounge Passes) to use on our return trip. Both products failed our expectations … 1. The eSIM was activated successfully on arrival in Japan on LTE network, but we found that it was very slow and often failed to download content at all. It did work slowly at times, but we found that it was easier to use WiFi from hotels, restaurants and travel hubs which were much better … and in the end saw us use only 4GB of the 15GB for the entire trip. In the country areas it was pretty much useless, and even struggled in main cities. I would not recommend Jetpac eSIM in Japan. It maybe better in other countries - don’t know? 2. Jetpac Dragonpass (Lounge Passes x2) we decided to use on our return trip at Taiwan International Airport (T.1 Premium Plaza Lounge) We arrived later in the evening (9.30pm), after losing time with flight delays our experience was shortened to 45 mins or so, but we were still excited to go to the lounge. Access was reasonably quick with our QR codes read, we entered the lounge and found some comfy seats. We walked over to the food service area and were shocked at the trays with tired looking stewed sausages, veggies, processed chicken nuggets and a tray of black water with a broken egg. It seemed that a clean up was about to take place, so I reluctantly got a plate with a few of the above. My wife looked and ate nothing. We got x2 coca-colas from the fridges. I later had x2 frothy beers with the help of a staff member. Surprisingly the trays after cleaning were replenished, I went and looked and it was the exact same dishes re- served by the kitchen. I didn’t eat again. Time was running out, so we left the lounge disappointed, and felt like it was a total waste of money. A sub standard travel lounge in my view, and well below my expectations from experience in other international lounges I have frequented through the years. On the way back to the departure gate we passed a couple of cafes that had lovely seating and would have been much better value. I do not recommend Jetpac Dragonpass lounge passes.
