EaseUS

The "2GB for free" is a fake and false advertisement. Not a single byte is free.

I downloaded "EaseUS Data Recovery - Free Data Recovery Software" which advertises "Recover up to 2GB data for free on Windows 11/10/8/7". I scanned the drive on which I deleted the files by mistake. The software did find the files and I selected a few small files to test the software before I spend the money and buy the full version. After all I have "2 GB data for free" which can be restored. After selecting the files for restore and starting the software, it just told me "buy the Pro version". The 2 GB for free was just a hollow, empty advertisement claim, which was suddently not available anymore. This is false advertisement at best, fraud at worst, since the software offers to restore a portion (up to 2GB) of your files, so you can try if the software is actually working. I was ready to spend money after verifying the software works and I chose this one over other recovery software because they offer the "2 GB for free" so you can try if it really works and not just "restores some garbage files". My question to EaseUS is: Why are you doing this? Why are you "scamming" your potential customers? I mean I really like to buy software which works and I highly honor the offer to try the software for a small number of files first to see if it works, but I despise statements that are not correct like "Recover up to 2GB data for free on Windows 11/10/8/7" You actually can´t recover a single byte for free.
