Fotor

There was a time when I loved Fotor. Now I see no reciprocity: creators pay, while restrictions keep growing.

There was a time when I truly enjoyed using Fotor. The movie clips I created and shared with the community helped me understand how my work would be received. That part of the platform was very valuable to me. However, recently I have developed mixed feelings. I understand the need for moderation, and I have nothing against it when it is applied thoughtfully. The problem is the inconsistency. It is possible to spend credits on a creation (for example using Seedance Pro 1.5), successfully generate a clip, and then have it blocked from the community by moderators — without any refund. What makes this more frustrating is the lack of clear guidance. There is no detailed explanation of how to adjust content to meet the standards. Many users pay for credits, which means creators are part of what keeps the platform running. Because of that, they should be treated with respect — including their work. I understand that Fotor aims to protect younger audiences. However, the current approach feels too restrictive. Instead of blocking content entirely, a better solution could be to introduce content categories (for example: children, teenagers, adults, and general audience) with appropriate visibility settings. At the moment, I also see issues with the models themselves. They do not always follow prompts accurately, and in the end it is the creator who is penalized, not the system that generated the result. I lost two key clips because of unclear community guidelines. That is when I began to feel that Fotor is forgetting the very creators who help keep the platform alive. Without creators, there would be no Fotor. For now, I feel disappointed. I hope these issues will be addressed, because I would genuinely like to rate this platform higher again in the future.
