Ensure cash machines print accurate prices for items purchased
I visited Fairprice branch at Chinatown Point on Wed 20 May 2026 and checked out at 20:35:43. I was served by cashier Pupaithi. I bought a bottle of 700ml Yomeishu with indicated price of $42.55 for which I was billed $43. I also bought two packets of Fairprice Wasabi cachew nuts at 4.90 (1 for 1 ). Total amount spent, including 5 cents for plastic bag was $47.90. As a Merdeka card holder I was entitled to a 3% discount on the $47.90 . which should work out to $1.43. The receipt showed I was given a 0.15 cents for PGD discount. I believe there is a problem with the machine used by the cashier Pupaihi. Please check the machine manned by cashier Pupaihi so other customers do not get short changed.
