Quo

Pathetic account screening and communication

I run a small web design agency and signed up for Quo to handle business calls and texts. After using the account briefly and contacting a couple of prospective clients — including one two-way text conversation with no complaints from the recipient — my account was flagged for review. I fully cooperated with their request, providing my website, business verification, and personal ID as instructed. Despite this, my account was rejected. In their first communication, Quo stated the rejection was due to "the nature of your business model and the activity observed on your account," and explicitly noted this was "not a reflection of the documentation provided." In a follow-up email, Quo gave a completely different reason, stating they were "unable to verify the documents submitted" — directly contradicting their prior explanation. I was also initially told my phone number was eligible for port-out, only to later be told it was not eligible due to inactivity. This is another clear inconsistency in the information I was given. The lack of clear, accurate, and consistent communication throughout this process was unacceptable. If a business doesn't meet a platform's requirements, that decision should be communicated with one clear, accurate reason — not shifting explanations depending on which support email is sent. Business owners should be aware that Quo's account review process can result in contradictory and unreliable communication if your account is flagged and you could lose your business number as well as customers.
