Daily Downtime on SmarterASP Node.js Hosting
I wish I had seen a review like this before starting my membership. SmarterASP’s Node.js hosting runs on a shared pool that is restarted every single day at 6pm UK time. During this restart, all hosted Node.js sites go down, and the first user to visit afterwards will see an error. Even after that, it takes close to a full minute for the application to “wake up” and become accessible again. For any site where uptime and user experience matter, this is a serious issue. I only discovered this behavior after deploying my application, and it was extremely frustrating to explain to clients why the site would suddenly become unresponsive every evening. If you are considering SmarterASP for Node.js hosting, be aware of this daily downtime and slow cold start before committing.
