Nucamp provided what I was missing in self-learning.
After decades as a curious hobbyist coder, and a few years as a serious self-learning developer hopeful, I was stuck. I found Nucamp to be just what I was looking for. Affordable. Knowledgable instructors eager to lavish their time on you if you need it, but also nudging you first to learn how to figure things out on your own. A friendly and active community that you can keep after the camp is over. I was familiar with all the technologies we covered before I came to the camp. What nucamp provided was someone else's hard deadline, live human assistance, a team, and most importantly for me, the opportunity to help someone else work through their code. I think I learned the most there. No graduate is ready for their job as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma. But hopefully they have been given the tools and skills necessary to become so and continue to grow into their field. Nucamp does that.
