Pros and cons of Rail Ninja
People need to remember that they are paying an intermediary and not Korean Rail- so when people discuss comfort of train etc, it is not Rail Ninja supplying that but Korail. Rail Ninja prices are significantly more expensive than purchasing at the station- the booking fee is very high. You are, however, paying for the surety of a ticket on the train time you want- which can be important when on a schedule. Note that cancellation fees are high (ie the fine print). I am not sure that Rail Ninja offers credits- when I had to cancel a booking once, no offer was made- so be aware. Also, if you are wanting a window seat, be aware that you may not always get one. On the many trips I have taken I have requested a window seat and found myself next to a wall. I am not sure there is a facility to see the plan of the train in order to book a seat. Will I continue to use them? I think I have to as I often travel between cities and need the convenience of online booking and surety of arrival times. If there were a competitor, I would probably use them. If I had more time for the travel I would get a ticket at the station.
