Basement Beast: Very Impressed
At the height of the pandemic and everything was on lockdown I was determined to get back in shape. I had been a part of athletics all my life - including D1 in college. I continued weight training during my master's but after that life got in the way. All this to say I stumbled upon BB while researching how to stay in shape at home (having no personal gym equipment). I read through the website and honestly thought it was a scam at first. I took a chance and ordered a set of bands and locked in a subscription and as I went through the workouts I found that my body really did begin to change. I have been with it about 2 years now and it has really improved my confidence. I enjoy being part of a community and the bands are actually serious business (my initial reaction was "this is really silly, you cannot get shredded from using resistance bands. Those are for like yoga and stuff." Boy, was I mistaken. If you put in the work, build consistency, the discipline will follow. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a gym alternative with basement beast. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is my belief that nothing is perfect, lol.
