Total scam. Stay away.
This app is a scam. I was taken in by their supposed 70% off 6 months promotion. After signing up, I used the app for 5 minutes before realizing how worthless it is. First of all, you have to go through at least five screens of upselling before our even get started. They try to get you on the hook for travel guides, workbooks and other things you ‘need’ in order to really learn. Finally, when you get to the app, you realize how ineffective it is. I was trying to improve my German and found out there really isn’t much difference between the beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. The AI is woefully simplistic and unhelpful. I cancelled as soon as possible. But unfortunately getting a refund for my initial payment is proving difficult, even after filing a dispute through my credit card company. This is a BS tech company that promises a lot but delivers nothing. Stay far, far away and spend your money elsewhere! EDIT: As you can see, Makes You Fluent responded, pretending to care. I did contact them at the address given and was answered promptly by an AI chat bot. And what do you know?...they denied my refund request. What a shocker. Not only that, the offered me a discount on future subscriptions as a supposed compromise. Why would I want a product for less that I didn't want in the first place? It's just more fleecing. To all who read this, please spread the word about this miserable company so they don't take in any more suckers.
