Excellent online and offline school for Mandarin!
My main goal was to learn as much as possible within a short period of time during my stay in Shanghai. I went to Silk Mandarin every day and took one on one classes for 2 months in total. My Mandarin skills were non existent before I took classes. My learning curve was great, because I can manage my daily life using Chinese. Everybody at Silk Mandarin was helpful with all of my questions. My teacher Jane Wu motivated me every time I felt that I can't keep up anymore. She also supported me with knowledge about the Chinese culture, which is as much important as learning the language. The school replied to my questions in a very professional way, which was one of the reasons why I chose Silk Mandarin. Also the online teaching videos are really helpful and fun to learn with. Everything is explained in detail and in a fun way. I liked preparing for the class and reviewing again after class. This made my lessons in class much more effective, because I could already use what I learned and practice with my teacher. I am really happy that I chose Silk Mandarin and I can recommend this school hundred percent to anybody who wants to learn Chinese in a friendly and challenging environment. I almost finished HSK 3 within a couple of months and I will also take online classes when I am back in Germany.
