Outstanding customer service
This review is for Air Asia a little while back but just joined Trustpilot and thought I'd share my experience with them. I'm sorry that others have had such a terrible time with the company but I flew with them around SE Asia frequently between 2017-2020 and never had any problems. In particular, the customer service phone staff and ground staff at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok were outstanding and went above and beyond to get me on a flight to Vietnam despite being unable to check in and turning up at the airport only 20 minutes before departure time, after serious traffic delays. The phone agent called through to the check in desk at the airport to let them know I was on my way, all members of Air Asia staff at the airport were incredibly helpful, calm and friendly and the duty supervisor personally walked me through the security and passport checks, past all queues, to explain to the staff there why I had to get through. This was for a budget flight from BKK to Da Nang. I know they get a lot of hate, and I am sure the complaints are justified, but I had a very good experience with them every time I flew and on that one occasion they were amazing.
