Disappointed with the Delayed Service
I submitted my ITIN application to theITIN on November 22, 2023, and to my dismay, I have yet to receive any updates or my ITIN. After patiently waiting for over two months, I decided to reach out to them on January 24th for an update, only to be told to wait another 3-4 weeks. Now, when I followed up again recently, their response was even more disheartening, stating it would take an additional 4-5 weeks. The lack of transparency and consistency in their communication is concerning. While I understand that processing times with the IRS can be lengthy, theITIN’s inability to provide accurate information and constantly shifting timelines only adds to the frustration. It feels like they are giving false hope rather than being upfront about the actual process. Overall, I’m deeply disappointed with the experience so far. Trust and reliability are crucial when dealing with sensitive matters like tax identification, and unfortunately, theITIN has fallen short in delivering on these fronts.
